Track 1 hooked me out of the gate, and it's an 11-way tie for 2nd-favourite. The lyrics, instrumentation, arrangement, dynamics, performance and production are excellent throughout. Others have used the word "fresh" to describe Tamar's music, and I agree. I'm never sure what will happen next and that's what makes it so exciting!

I could leave it here. ‘How Are You Coping With This Century’ is my choice for best album of 2021. This is my subjective view of course, but you’d be wrong to discount it. There’s surreal stories, delicious 1960’s melodies and harmonies, jangle pop, ace musicianship, faux country & western, all wrapped up in McCartney-led Beatles vibes. I can’t see where Tom & Co. put a foot wrong here. It’s a wonderful piece of pop magic.

Shadow Clues was the song the introduced me to Tamar, but Suitcase and Gun is the perfect ending track for an album. Even more so, if you listen to that and automatically go in Start At The End, it feels like a bridge into it. Like going from one stage of life and starting over, only for new situations to arise.
